Russell Challoner '53,was a CAF pilot who died in a plane crash in 1977 at Cold Lake, Alberta. His father also attended the school from 1908 - 1913. The award is to go to a good all-rounder.

Colin Skinner Endowment - Colin Skinner was a drama coach and teacher at SMUS from 1976-2001. This award is given to a gifted drama student who qualifies for financial assistance.
Doug Williams Endowment - Douglas Williams was a member of staff at SMUS (1972-1996); Director of residence and Deputy Headmaster. This award is given to a senior school boarder, who is an all-rounder with a record of community service.
Financial Aid - Now contributions create opportunities for students to receive an SMUS education that would otherwise be financially unavailable to them.

Financial Aid for Qualifying First Nations' Students. The goal is to provide one full-tuition scholarship for high-school enrolment to a qualifying First Nations' student for a 3 to 5 year course of study.

John J. Timmis was Headmaster of University School from 1948 until 1970. This award is given to a deserving student who qualifies for financial assistance.
Michael Walsh Endowment - Michael Walsh was a teacher/coach/houseparent at SMUS 1968-1988 and 1995-2002. This award is given to a good student with proven athletic ability.

Rob Wilson Endowment - Rob Wilson was a member of staff at SMUS (1958-1965, and 1974-1999). He was acting Headmaster of SMUS on two occasions. This award is given to a boarding student in the senior school who displays all-round ability.
Shergold Endowment is in memory of two special people, Chuck & Stephanie Shergold,who contributed so much to the lives of others.
Named for members of the Symons family. This award is given to a student in the middle or senior school. This student should be a good team player, enthusiastic and eager to support the school community.
